While it’s important to stay true to what you enjoy, sometimes it can be fun to learn about what’s trending as well - so here are some of the current fashionable finds in drapes and shades in 2023.
Natural Fiber & Neutral Colors
Linen curtains and drapes give bright warmth to a room that cannot be dampened by even the cloudiest days - even during hurricane season. Many customers shy away from natural materials when purchasing window treatments because they envision a concern about the fabric shrinking or fading. That may be an issue if you buy from some obscure vendor, but when you purchase linen window treatments from us, you have a guarantee that they will keep their shape and color for many years to come. We don’t have a crystal ball to look at trends 5-10 years from now, but natural materials will always be an authentic design choice. Working with Patterns
Patterned window treatments tend to become the focal point of a room and are usually reserved for traditional or eclectic interiors. If you love the look of patterns at your window but want to keep up with interior design treatments, keep to a palette of no more than two or three colors that blend well with the overall color scheme of the room. This will ensure your drapes are a supporting act that do not pull an oversized focus and instead let your entire interior shine. You can also go the contrasting route to make a statement with solid pieces. When taking the path of contrast, keep the color saturation of the drapery similar to the rest of the room to prevent your treatments from standing out in a way that makes them feel separate from the rest of your décor.
Enhancing Space with Monochromatic Color
You can visually increase the space within a room by using the same color on your walls and window coverings. The trick to getting this right is to choose your window treatments color first and then take a fabric sample to the store for an exact paint match.
